Nicole also sang live and officially named Arvia at a beachside ceremony in Barbados which was broadcast globally on the P&O Cruises YouTube channel on Thursday 16 March 2023. As the beach naming ceremony for P&O Cruises' new sun-kissed ship Arvia approached, P&O Cruises created excitement with a host of stars turning out for the spectacular event in Barbados.
The special celebration took place onThursday 16 March 2023 at 19:00 GMT, with events taking place at the Arvia SkyDome and on beautiful Heywoods Beach. The entire event was streamed live on P&O Cruises' YouTube channel, so even those at home didn't have to miss it.the festivities!

Talented singer and TV presenter Olly Murs kicked off the ceremony when he performed live on Heywoods Beach on Barbados' stunning west coast. He treated us to hits "Dance with me tonight" and "Troublemaker", a glimpse into a glittering career spanning seven studio albums, five of which topped the UK charts.

Two of Britain's most popular and respected broadcasters, Sara Cox and Trevor Nelson, ran the show in Barbados, Sara taking over beautiful Heywoods Beach and Trevor maintaining the ford in beautiful Arvia's Skydone as they introduced all the acts and contributed his signature charisma. and charm about the matter.

It is an old maritime tradition that a new ship is blessed with the belief that it will bring good luck to the ship and to all who sail on it. P&O Cruises' newest ship, Arvia, was officially welcomed into the port of Southampton in a special ceremony where the city's Bishop, Rt Revd Debbie Sellin, blessed the ship and her crew. The commemorative plaques were exchanged between Associated British Ports and P&O Cruises chairman Paul Ludlow and Captain Robert Camby. What a memorable moment!
